Are You Ready for the End of 2024?

It’s only November, but the end of the year is fast approaching. Do you have a plan for wrapping up 2024 and getting a good start to 2025?

The end of the year is a great time to get a bird’s eye view of your achievements, ongoing projects, and plans for next year.

Here are some places to start:

  • Celebrate your wins! Think about what went well. This is easy to overlook in favour of focusing on areas to improve; however, it is so important to acknowledge areas of growth and success. List your areas of growth, learnings, and successes from the last year.

  • Nurture relationships. Take time to follow up with professional contacts. This may include a quick note to someone you met at a conference, or a thank-you message to a colleague who helped you achieve a goal this year.

  • Tie up loose ends. There are always admin tasks that need to be wrapped up before the end of the year. Don’t leave them to the last minute; set aside some time to finish admin tasks like expense reports or performance reviews.

  • Ensure tactics are executed on time. Look ahead to upcoming project deadlines and consider whether it would help to hire external support. For example, external medical writing support may help you to complete medical education materials by end of year.

  • Look ahead. Think about what is coming up in 2025. Depending on your role, it might help to map out important dates, figure out a handover plan for projects that are changing hands, or schedule planning discussions with colleagues before the end of year holidays.

The end of the year is a great time to take stock of what’s going on, celebrate growth, and assess needs for the year ahead. Med Ink Consulting can support your medical writing, patient advocacy, and strategic planning projects. Contact us to learn how we can help.
